Where are you located?
Our facility is at 2014 NW 55th Avenue, Margate, Florida 33063. Receiving and visits must be scheduled in advance.
What information should I send for a quote?
Send your active SKU count, product dimensions and weights, monthly inbound volume, storage needs, monthly order volume, average items per order, sales channels, special prep instructions, and desired start date. For container receiving, also send the container size, whether it is palletized or floor-loaded, estimated carton or pallet count, maximum carton weight, and any special unloading requirements.
Do you work with new and established sellers?
Yes. We review both emerging and established accounts. The right plan depends on inventory, workflow, volume, and service requirements, and recurring accounts may have a monthly minimum and starting account balance.
What is the legal business behind MFA Prep & 3PL Center?
MFA Prep & 3PL Center is a registered fictitious name of Miami Furniture Assembly Svcs LLC, an active Florida limited liability company. Florida DBA Registration G26000043550. The warehouse is located at 2014 NW 55th Avenue, Margate, Florida 33063.
Is MFA owned or operated by Amazon or another marketplace?
No. MFA Prep & 3PL Center is independently owned and operated by Miami Furniture Assembly Svcs LLC. We provide third-party preparation and fulfillment services for sellers. We are listed in Amazon's Service Provider Network under FBA Prep & Packaging, but the listing does not mean that Amazon owns or operates MFA.
Do I need an Amazon seller account to use FBA prep?
Yes. You must maintain an active Amazon selling account and enroll eligible products in FBA. You are responsible for Seller Central access, product listings, shipment plans, Amazon eligibility and compliance, and the approved labels and instructions supplied to MFA.
What FBA preparation services are available?
Services include FNSKU label printing and application, visual or detailed inspection, poly bagging, shrink wrapping, bubble wrapping, bundling, kitting, returns receiving, and Amazon removal-order processing. Materials and nonstandard work may be billed separately.
Is the typical turnaround always 1–3 business days?
One to three business days is a typical target for standard, properly documented work after inventory is received and checked in. It is not guaranteed. Large projects, missing instructions, damaged goods, custom packaging, peak periods, or account holds can extend completion time.
Who provides the labels and prep instructions?
You are responsible for providing accurate, approved product data, labels, shipment plans, and platform instructions. We perform work from the information you authorize and may pause a project if instructions are incomplete or conflicting.
Can you handle hazardous, restricted, fragile, or unusual products?
Only with written approval before shipment. Do not send hazardous materials, regulated goods, perishables, illegal products, weapons, controlled substances, or unusually fragile or oversized inventory without prior written acceptance.
Do you offer refrigerated or freezer storage?
No. The public storage program is for dry storage only. Temperature-controlled and freezer options are not offered on the pricing calculator.
How are pallet and bin rates calculated?
Storage is billed by the applicable monthly volume tier. Pallet rates depend on pallet size and quantity; bin rates depend on bin size and quantity. The calculator displays an estimated per-pallet or per-bin monthly rate.
What are the listed bin sizes?
Small bins are approximately 20 × 11 × 7 inches, standard bins 21 × 14 × 12 inches, and large bins 26 × 17 × 12 inches. Suitability depends on the product and operating requirements.
What is secured cage storage?
Secured cage storage places approved inventory in a restricted storage area and uses the calculator's security adjustment. Availability, capacity, access rules, and final pricing must be confirmed in writing.
Do inbound shipments require an appointment?
Yes. Send advance shipment notice, carrier details, expected carton or pallet counts, and purchase-order or SKU documentation. Container appointments must also identify the container size, whether it is palletized or floor-loaded, maximum carton weight, and any special equipment needs. Unscheduled, mislabeled, oversized, or noncompliant deliveries may be delayed, refused, or assessed additional handling.
Do you receive palletized and floor-loaded containers?
Yes, by scheduled appointment and written approval. Palletized-container receiving is $12 per standard sealed pallet. Floor-loaded receiving starts at $350 for a 20-foot container and $550 for a 40-foot container. A 45-foot container requires a custom quote.
What does container receiving include and exclude?
The container-receiving charge covers unloading at our Margate warehouse only. It excludes drayage, customs duties and clearance, port and terminal charges, demurrage, detention, chassis fees, carrier charges, pallet materials, special equipment, sorting, detailed counting, and nonstandard put-away unless the written quote includes them. The customer must arrange customs clearance and container transportation through properly licensed providers.
What is the standard carton weight limit?
A standard carton is up to 50 pounds. Cartons over 50 pounds or unusually large cartons are quoted as oversized or overweight. Crates, machinery, furniture, hazardous products, unusually heavy loads, and unloading that requires special equipment need prior written approval and a custom quote.
Does inbound receiving count toward the monthly fulfillment minimum?
No. Inbound receiving, including container receiving, is billed separately from pick and pack and does not count toward the monthly fulfillment minimum.
Does basic receiving include a complete unit inspection?
No. Standard receiving generally confirms visible cartons or pallets and does not include opening every carton, testing products, or detecting concealed damage. Unit counts, detailed inspection, photography, testing, and reconciliation are separate services when requested.
What does pick and pack include?
Standard pick and pack covers picking, basic verification, and packing of ordinary products under the agreed workflow. Additional items, heavy products, inserts, poly bags, custom packaging, special handling, and materials may carry separate charges.
Is postage, freight, or container transportation included?
No. Postage, freight, drayage, customs duties and clearance, port and terminal charges, demurrage, detention, chassis fees, carrier charges, declared-value coverage, taxes, and accessorial fees are additional. MFA provides warehouse handling and shipment preparation but does not act as a customs broker, ocean freight forwarder, NVOCC, or drayage motor carrier.
Can I use and pay my preferred carrier directly?
Yes. You may arrange and pay your preferred carrier directly for inbound deliveries and outbound shipments, including providing prepaid shipping labels or approved carrier-account details when applicable. MFA’s receiving, storage, preparation, and handling fees are separate. Transportation arranged by MFA, when available and approved, is quoted and billed separately.
Are carrier delivery dates guaranteed?
No. Once a carrier accepts a shipment, transit, tracking, delays, losses, and delivery performance are subject to that carrier's terms. We will provide available shipment information and assist with documentation when practical.
Can you support wholesale or custom B2B orders?
Yes, subject to review. Send carton configuration, labeling, routing-guide, pallet, BOL, appointment, and compliance requirements for a custom quote.
What information can I see in the customer portal?
The portal displays available information about your orders, receiving, processing, shipments, and current shipment status.
How do I receive a customer portal account?
MFA Prep & 3PL Center creates customer accounts and provides each authorized customer with an email login and private six-digit access code.
How current is the shipment information?
The portal displays the latest information available from ShipStation and connected shipping services. Updates may occasionally be delayed.
What should I do if my shipment status appears incorrect?
Use the Refresh Shipments button first. If the information still appears incorrect, contact MFA Prep & 3PL Center for assistance.
Can I share my access code?
No. Keep your access code private. Contact MFA Prep & 3PL Center if another authorized employee requires portal access.
Are published prices and calculator results final?
No. They are starting rates or estimates for standard work and are subject to change. Product dimensions, weight, materials, labor, storage footprint, platform requirements, volume, timing, and special handling can change the final price. A written quote is valid through its stated expiration date, and your accepted quote or service agreement controls.
Are there monthly minimums or starting account balances?
Recurring fulfillment accounts may require a monthly service commitment and starting account balance. The starting account balance is prepaid and applied toward eligible charges on future invoices; it is not an additional service fee. Eligible pick-and-pack, storage, and return-service charges count toward the selected minimum. Inbound receiving, including container receiving, is billed separately and does not count toward the minimum. Your written proposal confirms the terms for your account.
What payment methods are accepted?
Approved payment methods, billing timing, starting account balances, and any card-processing surcharge will be stated in your quote, service agreement, or invoice. Account services may be paused when required funds or approvals are not available.
Can you process customer returns and Amazon removals?
Yes. Available services include receipt, basic inspection, restocking, relabeling, photography, detailed inspection, consolidation, and disposal or forwarding when authorized. Final charges depend on the condition and work required.
Should I insure inventory stored at the facility?
You should maintain insurance appropriate for your inventory, including the risks your policy and service agreement identify. Ask your insurer how goods are covered while in storage and transit.
How do I report a shortage or damage concern?
Email us promptly with the shipment or order number, SKU, quantity, photos, and supporting documents. Claim timing and responsibility depend on the event, available records, carrier terms, and your signed service agreement.
